Humankind is at a cusp, a point of transition between two different states of governance and existence. The world today is like a sack being slowly filled while the string around the opening is pulled increasingly tighter to prevent the contents from escaping confinement. The shadows of this future are everywhere to be seen but even the keenest of observers tend to view the portents not as the warnings they are, but instead regard all these pieces of one despairing puzzle as disconnected and unrelated events. In this essay, we will take a look at where our world is going, how it is going there, and why it is going there.

For, dark and despairing, my sight I may seal, but man cannot hide what God would reveal. 

‘Tis the sunset of life gives me mystical lore,and coming events cast their shadow before. (1)

One needn’t be credentialed as either prophet or oracle to make the connections and expose the plan. It is another matter entirely to convince average readers of the truth of it. German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer wrote that all truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. We are midway between the first and second stages, where proponents of exposure are still widely ridiculed but, if they gain a popular audience, they will be violently attacked.

Where we are going – One World Government

Lest we succumb to the temptation of dismissing this as yet another batty conspiracy theory, it would be wise to consider these quotes:

David Rockefeller in an address to the Trilateral Commission, referring to the Bilderberg Group, whose existence was hotly denied and derided for decades as just another conspiracy theory:

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of public scrutiny during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and fully prepared to march towards our one world-government. The supranational sovereignty of our intellectual elites and world bankers is surely preferable to the globe as a whole.” (2)

A Humanidade está no topo, num ponto de transição entre dois estados diferentes de governação e de existência. O mundo de hoje é como um saco que está a ser enchido lentamente enquanto a corda ao redor da abertura está cada vez mais apertada para impedir que o conteúdo escape do confinamento. As sombras deste futuro estão em toda parte para serem vistas, mas até o mais perspicaz dos observadores tende a ver os presságios  não como os avisos que são, mas considera todas estas peças de um quebra-cabeças desesperante como sendo acontecimentos separados e não relacionados. Neste ensaio, veremos para onde o nosso mundo se está a encaminhar.

Por mais sombria e angustiante que possa ser a minha visão, o homem não pode esconder o que Deus irá revelar.

Este pôr-do-sol da vida dá-me uma história mística,

e os acontecimentos futuros projectam a sua sombra antecipadamente.(1)

Não é preciso ser profeta ou oráculo para fazer as ligações e expor o plano. Outra questão é convencer os leitores comuns da verdade dos factos. O filósofo alemão Arthur Schopenhauer escreveu que toda a verdade passa por três fases. Na primeira, é ridicularizada. Na segunda, é violentamente contrariada. Na terceira, é aceite como evidente por si mesma. Estamos a meio caminho entre a primeira e a segunda fase, onde os defensores da exposição ainda são amplamente ridicularizados, mas, se conquistarem um auditório progressista, serão violentamente atacados.

La humanidad se encuentra en una cúspide, en un punto de transición entre dos estados diferentes de gobierno y de existencia. El mundo de hoy es como un saco que se llena lentamente mientras se aprieta cada vez más fuerte la cuerda de alrededor de la abertura para evitar que el contenido se escape del confinamiento. Las sombras de este futuro se ven por todas partes, pero incluso los observadores más perspicaces tienden a ver los presagios, no como las advertencias que son, sino que consideran todas estas piezas de un desesperado rompecabezas como acontecimientos desconectados y no relacionados entre sí. En este ensayo, echaremos un vistazo a dónde va nuestro mundo, cómo está yendo allí, y por qué está yendo allí.

Despite the impact Covid-19 has had on the global economy, the US is seeking more funding to counter and confront China in the Pacific, as well as enhancing its military preparedness for scenarios involving nuclear warfare.

The coronavirus outbreak has impacted the global economy in a unique and unprecedented fashion unseen since World War II. Around 63 percent of Japanese businesses have projected a negative impact on their business performance due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since the start of the outbreak, stock markets have seen drops of over 20 percent, Chinese car sales have decreased by 86 percent and global interest rates have been slashed. Over 16 million Americans have filed jobless claims recently as unemployment runs rampant across the country. The travel industry has all but completely collapsed.

What should we make then of the recent $20 billion wishlist which was submitted to Congress by US Indo-Pacific Command head Adm. Phil Davidson? According to Defense News, this wishlist was specifically requested by members of Congress who are looking for a Pacific-focused supply of money to deter China in the Indo-Pacific region.

Following Iraqi president Barham Saleh’s nomination of Adnan al-Zarfi (Zurufi or Zurfi) as the new Prime Minister, Iraq has entered a critical stage.  The Shia block is divided. The 30 days given to al-Zarfi to nominate his cabinet will lead either to a quorum of the parliament recognising his new cabinet and in consequences to a bloody future that could lead to unrest and even partition of Iraq or absence of a quorum. Why did President Saleh nominate al-Zarfi?

In 2018 Speaker Mohamad Halbousi proposed Barham Saleh as President. The proposal was adopted by “Al-Fateh”, the largest Shia coalition, with the agreement of the Sunni. Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani and US presidential envoy Brett McGurk were against the nomination of Saleh. It was Iranian IRGC Major General Qassem Soleimani who pushed for Barham Saleh to become president. Saleh, upon his nomination, promised Soleimani to be “better than Mam Jalal” (Uncle Jalal Talibani, one of Iran’s closest allies). Once Saleh was elected, he was asked by the “Al-Fateh” coalition, to nominate Adel Abdel Mahdi as prime minister, and he complied.  One year later, Abdel Mahdi was asked by the Marjaiya in Najaf to resign in response to street demonstrations demanding reforms, necessary infrastructure and better job opportunities.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – A sinkhole reportedly containing almost 1,000 bodies, including around 30 Yezidis, killed by the Islamic State (ISIS) from mid-2014 to late 2017 has been uncovered in northern Iraq’s Tal Afar region of Nineveh, a local official confirmed on Wednesday.

“The pit contains at least 1,000 bodies. They [ISIS] had even dumped victims into the mass grave while they were still alive,” Tal Afar Mayor Qasim Mohammed told Rudaw.

The majority of the victims in the pit, thought to be 150 meters deep, are Shiites from Tal Afar, he added.

ISIS militants attacked the Yezidi homeland of Shingal in August 2014, slaughtering thousands of men and burying them in mass graves. Women and children were abducted and sold into slavery – many facing years of repeated sexual violence.

An official from the Tal Afar Mass Graves Affairs Office told Rudaw the sinkhole contains the bodies of at least 30 Yezidis from Shingal.

Sulaiman Hadi, a Yezidi survivor who witnessed the genocide, accompanied Rudaw’s Tahsin Qasim to the site of the mass grave. He explained how the slain Yezidi victims ended up in the pit.

U.S. officials have now made clear that if U.S. forces become removed from Iraq as Iraq’s Parliament unanimously demanded and Iraq’s Prime Minister affirmed on January 5th, then the U.S. will try to break Iraq up into separate Sunni and Shia nations, and will also definitely impose sanctions against Iraq or (if Iraq becomes successfully broken up) against the Shia-governed portion of Iraq, in order to destroy Iraq (or the Shiite regions in Iraq) totally.

The U.S. is determined to separate both Lebanon and Syria (both of which are supported by Shia Iran) from Iran so that Iran will become internationally isolated unless and until Iran again becomes controlled by the U.S. Government as it was during the period from 1953 when U.S. imposed the Shah’s dictatorship there, till 1979, when Iranians finally took back control over their country and kicked out the U.S.-and-allied foreign oil companies.

Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance commits all members to participate in the defense of any single member that is attacked. An attack on one is an attack on all. Forged in the early stages of the cold war, the alliance originally included most of the leading non-communist states in Western Europe, as well as Turkey. It was intended to deter any attacks orchestrated by the Soviet Union and was defensive in nature.

Currently NATO is an anachronism as the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, but the desire to continue to play soldier on an international stage has granted it a measure of life support. Indeed, the alliance is regularly auditioning for new members. Its latest addition is Montenegro, which has a military consisting of 2,000 men and women, roughly one brigade. If Montenegro should be attacked, the United States is obligated to come to its assistance.

Never reluctant to poke its nose into regions where it has no commitments or relevance, the Nato military alliance is stumbling round in Iraq, the crucible of Middle Eastern disruption. Following the U.S. drone-strike killing of Iranian General Soleimani and the deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Nato’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, came out predictably with expressions of support for the assassinations.

Nobody in the West (and probably precious few elsewhere, other than Iran, if numbers could be independently ascertained) could in any way be supportive of Soleimani and the barbarous forays he directed that resulted in the deaths of so many innocent people. He deserved to be brought to justice — which does not mean that it was morally defensible or legally permissible to kill him.

And please take a moment to think about the driver of the car he was in, who was also blasted to bits. What possible justification could there have been for killing him? It couldn’t be claimed by even Pompeo or Trump that he had been planning to attack America or Americans. This pawn on the board of revenge was killed by a missile fired by a U.S. attack drone. And he will pass out of memory as quickly as the flash of the explosion that blew him apart. But in terms of morality and international law he is just as important as any general, and responsibility for his death lies firmly at the door of the White House.

Americans are unfortunately severely reluctant to disbelieve the lies that normally spew forth from the U.S. Government about foreign countries and especially about foreign countries that it invades or wants to invade. Consider, for examples, the lies that were told against Iraq when Saddam Hussein ruled it, or about Libya when Muammar Gaddafi ruled it, or about Iran right now. But Americans widely believe their Government’s lies, nonetheless. They are deceived, above all, about whom the U.S. military is fighting for. It’s not fighting for the American people’s benefit. (In World War II, it was, but that was the last time in American history when it was.) And that Government-lie, about “Who benefits?”, is the basis of all the others.

On the morning of January 6th, the Republican Party ‘News’-site Fox News Channel, headlined near the top of their homepage an opinion article, “Democrats still delusional about Trump even after Qassem Soleimani death”, and interviewed there an American soldier in the war against Iraq, who hates Iran’s Government. He compared Qasem Soleimani to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the founder of ISIS, (he said “Soleimani was really Zarqawi in uniform,” at 3:44 in the article’s accompanying video of the interview) but actually Soleimani was the world’s most effective general fighting against ISIS, and he led the elimination of ISIS from Iraq. (That American article linked-to says “Soleimani and his commanders were on the front lines in Iraq and his name became synonymous with victories attributed to Iraqi ground forces. He had presented himself as the face of the offensive in Tikrit, a city which fell under ISIS control in 2014 [HE WAS FIGHTING AND BEATING ISIS THERE].” So, the U.S. soldier speaking on Fox was profoundly misinformed about Soleimani, and about Iran (which has always been staunchly against ISIS). However, notwithstanding the deceit in Fox’s presenting this Republican propaganda for a Republican President, the most “Liked” reader-comment to that article was “A vote for a democrat is a vote for an enemy of America. I am proud to be an American citizen with Donald Trump as our President, and I certainly will never vote for a democrat again.” The facts didn’t matter to these viewers, the internal-U.S. political partisanship, the political Parties, blinded almost every one of the reader-comments there. Those commenters didn’t think, at all, about the U.S. Government’s lies that had persuaded the American public to boost their approval of George W. Bush from 57% immediately before his 2003 invasion of Iraq to 71% immediately after his lie-basedinternational war-crime in invading that country, and everyone who clicked “Like” on that January 6th reader-comment supporting Trump’s January 3rd aggression against both Iraq and Iran, had obviously learned nothing from that historical example from 2003, in which the opponents of the U.S. Government’s Iraq invasion (including mainly Democrats at that time, since Bush was a Republican President) were the actual American patriots (other than the Democrats who were against the invasion merely on account of its being done by a Republican President).

So: how do we know who actually benefitted from that particular international war-crime — the invasion and military occupation of Iraq?

On January 9th, Iraq’s Prime Minister and Parliament again ordered all American troops out, but on January 10th the AP headlined “US dismisses Iraq request to work on a troop withdrawal plan” and reported that the U.S. State Department “bluntly rejected the request, saying the two sides should instead talk about how to ‘recommit’ to their partnership.” It was not a “request” from Iraq; it was a command from them; and the U.S. and Iraq relate as conqueror and conquered, not as “partners.” Consequently: the U.S. Government, now that it has been so unequivocally ordered to leave, is back again, unequivocally, to its invader-occupier role in Iraq.

The AP report went on to say that, “The request from Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi pointed to his determination to push ahead with demands for U.S. troops to leave Iraq.” Again there was that false word “request.” The AP report said that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asserted, in reply, “Our mission set there is very clear. We’ve been there to perform a training mission to help the Iraqi security forces be successful and to continue the campaign against ISIS, to continue the counter-Daesh campaign.” Though that’s the invader-occupier’s excuse, the reality is that the U.S. needs Iraq in order to invade Iran, which is the U.S. Government’s objective, though not overtly stated.

Already, America’s assassination in Iraq of Iran’s top general Qasem Soleimani on January 3rd is an enormous act of war against Iran. It is intended to obliterate Iran’s main strategist, and this successful attack against Iran inside Iraq is a devastating first strike, by the U.S. Government against Iran.

So: now, the U.S. is at war against both Iraq and Iran.

Just as the Iranian commander misinterpreted the airliner’s maneuver as a strike on a military base, an American or a Russian can conclude that a false warning of incoming ICBMs, of which the Cold War had many, is real.  

During the Cold War as each side was working to reduce tensions, there was no hair-trigger in place.  Now that the US has caused high tensions with Russia as it has with Iran, false alarms are extremely dangerous.  

This is the message that Stephen Cohen, myself, and others have continually given.  

Hopefully, some good will come from the loss of 176 lives by sobering up the warharks in Washington who are forever issuing threats.  The responsibility for raising tensions to such dangerous levels in both Iran and Russia is entirely Washington’s.  This reckless and irresponsible behavior must stop before the unnecessary tensions cause Armageddon.

A top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officer has revealed that the Ukrainian jet was mistaken for an incoming cruise missile and that the commander of the anti-aircraft unit had only 10 seconds to make the decision.

“After hearing about the crash of the Ukrainian plane, I wished to die”, Hajizadeh said during a press conference on Saturday.

The commander explained that the incident had occurred as the country was bracing for potential US strikes and that the “likelihood of conflict” between the two nations has been “unprecedented” since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

A relatora especial da ONU sobre execuções extra judiciais, sumárias ou arbitrárias, Agnès Callamard, criticou o assassínio perpetrado pelo regime Trump, do General iraniano Soleimani,  do Vice Presidente iraquiano da PMU, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis e de outros que estavam com eles, twittando o seguinte:

 “Os homicídios de Qasem Soleiman e Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis são muito provavelmente ilegais e violam o Direito Internacional sobre os Direitos Humanos”.

“Fora do contexto das hostilidades activas, o uso de drones ou de outros meios para matar alvos, quase nunca é legal.”

“Outro grande problema com as mortes extra-territoriais é a falta de supervisão”.

 “Os poderes executivos decidem quem pode ser morto sem o devido processo judicial, quando é que agem em legítima defesa, contra quem e como. Sem a aprovação dos respectivos parlamentos.”

Pompeo comentou o assassínio de Soleimani com uma ladainha de Grandes Mentiras, dizendo:

O regime Trump “decidiu eliminar Soleimani em resposta a ameaças iminentes à vida de cidadãos americanos (sic).

 “A nossa obrigação foi evitar a escalada (sic).”

Assassinar Soleimani foi uma “acção defensiva destinada a combater as ameaças agressivas utilizadas pela Força Iraniana Quds (sic)”.

Ele “estava a conspirar activamente na região para levar a cabo acções ... que colocariam em risco dezenas senão centenas de vidas de americanos(sic)”.

Tudo o que foi mencionado acima é puro lixo e  ninguém que compreenda como os EUA agem acredita nessas afirmações, isto é, eles agem de acordo com as suas próprias regras e extra judicialmente, a fim de alcançar os seus objectivos imperiais.

Matar Soleimani, Muhandis e os que os acompanhavam, foi um assassinato a sangue frio dos EUA, um crime hediondo e injustificável.

O Pentágono desculpou ilegitimamente o seu acto criminoso, dizendo o seguinte:

 “Sob a direcção de (Trump), as forças armadas dos EUA tomaram medidas defensivas decisivas para proteger o pessoal americano no estrangeiro, matando-os” - uma Grande Mentira, seguida de mais mentiras, afirmando falaciosamente:

Soleimani “comandou ataques a bases da coligação no Iraque, nos últimos meses (sic)”.

 “Este ataque teve como objectivo impedir futuros planos de ataque iranianos.”

"Os Estados Unidos continuarão a tomar todas as medidas necessárias para proteger o nosso povo e os nossos interesses onde quer que estejam, em todo o mundo (sic).”

A agressão levada a cabo pelo regime Trump e pelos seus mais recentes predecessores transformou centenas de milhões de muçulmanos em inimigos dos EUA, além de inúmeros outros, em todo o mundo - tornando os EUA o país mais insultado do mundo.

Em toda a História da República Islâmica, desde 1979, as autoridades e chefias militares nunca ordenaram um ataque a outra nação ou aos respectivos oficiais.

Pompeo não apresentou provas que apoiassem as suas acusações absurdas porque não existem.

Sempre que António Guterres comenta incidentes como o assassínio de Soleimani e outras acções hostis dos EUA, da NATO e de Israel, ele apela sempre a todos os lados para mostrarem contenção - deixando de evidenciar a culpa onde ela pertence.

Depois de não dizer nada durante horas após a agressão patrocinada pelo regime de Trump contra Soleimani e os que o acompanhavam, o seu porta-voz emitiu a sua observação pré-escrita, dizendo:

 “O Secretário Geral tem defendido consistentemente a não escalada no Golfo (sic). Está profundamente preocupado com a recente escalada (sic). ”

“Este é o momento em que os líderes devem exercer a máxima restrição (sic). O mundo não pode permitir que haja outra guerra no Golfo (sic). ”

“O mundo” precisa de um Chefe da Organização mundial com coragem moral, e não de um boneco pró-ocidental covarde – manipulado pelos poderes mais influentes em Washington, Bruxelas e Tel Aviv.

O líder do Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, pediu “a punição dos assassinos criminosos do regime Trump”, acrescentando:

É “o dever e a responsabilidade de todos os combatentes da resistência em todo o mundo”.

“Nós, que ficamos ao lado de Soleimani, seguiremos os seus passos e esforçar-nos-emos, dia e noite, para alcançar os seus objectivos."

“Levaremos uma bandeira em todos os campos de batalha e em todas as frentes e intensificaremos as vitórias do 'eixo da resistência' com a bênção do seu sangue puro.”

O Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros da Síria condenou as agressões e os assassinatos dos EUA, designando  as suas acções como “uma escalada séria ... um acto covarde  de agressão ... que fortalece a nossa determinação de seguir o caminho dos líderes martirizados da resistência”.

Na sexta-feira, centenas de milhares de iranianos foram às ruas para condenar o regime de Trump.

A longo prazo, as políticas dos EUA são auto-destrutivas, o extremismo típico de uma nação em declínio.

Quanto maiores são as suas acções hostis em todo o mundo, mais inimigos eles adquirem.

Comentando o assassínio de Soleimani, a porta-voz do Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros da Rússia, Maria Zakharova, diz o seguinte:

O “ataque com mísseis do Pentágono (que matou Soleimani e os outros) foi um acto que não está em consonância com o Direito Internacional ... o cúmulo do cinismo” levado a cabo por um Estado imoral.

O objectivo de Washington tem tudo a ver com fazer valer o Poder sobre o Direito, procurando “alterar o equilíbrio de poder na região”.

“Não resultará em nada a não ser escalar tensões crescentes na região, o que, certamente, irá afectar milhões de pessoas”.

A acção do regime Trump “não escapará às Nações Unidas”, o Conselho de Segurança irá abordá-lo: o poder de veto dos EUA/Reino Unido/França impedirá a condenação oficial.

Matar Soleimani e o Vice Presidente da PMU do Iraque, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis e os restantes que os acompanhavam, só irá desestabilizar ainda mais a região.

As suas mortes nada tinham a ver com a protecção de vidas de cidadãos americanos, mas sim, tudo a ver com o avanço do Império Americano.

Foi um acto imprudente e auto-destrutivo que lhes saiu gorado, não conseguindo nada senão uma raiva popular ainda maior contra os EUA.

Também conduz os parlamentares iraquianos a aprovar uma legislação que ordene a saída das forças americanas do país, o que pode acontecer.
