In Europa zal het civiele luchtverkeer dit jaar naar verwachting met 60% dalen ten opzichte van 2019, als gevolg van de beperkingen door Covid-19, waardoor meer dan 7 miljoen banen op de tocht komen te staan. Aan de andere kant neemt het militaire luchtverkeer toe.

Op vrijdag 28 augustus vlogen zes strategische bommenwerpers van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht B-52 in één dag over de dertig NAVO-landen in Noord-Amerika en Europa, geflankeerd door tachtig jachtbommenwerpers uit geallieerde landen in verschillende secties.

Deze grote oefening genaamd "Allied Sky" - zei NAVO-secretaris-generaal Jens Stoltenberg - toont "de krachtige betrokkenheid van de Verenigde Staten bij de geallieerden en bevestigt dat we in staat zijn om agressie af te schrikken". De toespeling op "Russische agressie" in Europa is duidelijk.

De B-52's, die op 22 augustus van North Dakota Minot Air Base naar Fairford in Groot-Brittannië werden overgebracht, zijn geen oude vliegtuigen uit de Koude Oorlog die alleen voor parades worden gebruikt. Ze zijn voortdurend gemoderniseerd en behouden hun rol als lange-afstands strategische bommenwerpers. Nu zijn ze verder verbeterd.

De Amerikaanse luchtmacht zal binnenkort zesenzeventig B-52's uitrusten met nieuwe motoren, wat 20 miljard dollar kost. Met deze nieuwe motoren kunnen bommenwerpers 8.000 km vliegen zonder bij te tanken tijdens de vlucht, met elk 35 ton bommen en raketten gewapend met conventionele of nucleaire kernkoppen.

Afgelopen april vertrouwde de Amerikaanse luchtmacht Raytheon Co. toe om een nieuwe lange-afstandskruisraket te produceren, gewapend met een kernkop voor de B-52 bommenwerpers.

Met deze en andere strategische nucleaire aanvalsbommenwerpers, waaronder de B-2 Spirit, heeft de Amerikaanse luchtmacht sinds 2018 meer dan 200 vluchten gemaakt boven Europa, voornamelijk boven de Baltische Zee en de Zwarte Zee dicht bij het Russische luchtruim.

De Europese NAVO-landen nemen deel aan deze oefeningen, met name Italië. Toen een B-52 op 28 augustus boven ons land vloog, deden Italiaanse gevechtsvliegtuigen mee aan de simulatie van een gezamenlijke aanvalsmissie.

Onmiddellijk daarna zijn de Italiaanse Eurofighter Typhoon jachtbommenwerpers van de luchtmacht op weg gegaan naar de Siauliai-basis in Litouwen, ondersteund door ongeveer honderd gespecialiseerde soldaten. Vanaf 1 september blijven ze daar 8 maanden tot april 2021 om het Baltische luchtruim te "verdedigen". Het is de vierde "luchtpolitie"-missie van de NAVO die in het Baltische gebied wordt uitgevoerd door de Italiaanse luchtmacht.

Italiaanse gevechtsvliegtuigen staan 24 uur per dag klaar om op te stijgen bij alarm en om "onbekende" vliegtuigen te onderscheppen: het zijn altijd Russische vliegtuigen die tussen een of ander intern vliegveld en het Russische Kaliningrad door het internationale luchtruim boven de Baltische Zee vliegen.

De Litouwse basis Siauliai, waar ze worden ingezet, is door de Verenigde Staten opgewaardeerd; de Verenigde Staten hebben hun capaciteit verdrievoudigd door er 24 miljoen euro in te investeren. De reden is duidelijk: de vliegbasis ligt op slechts 220 km van Kaliningrad en 600 van St. Petersburg, een afstand die een gevechtsvliegtuig als de Eurofighter Typhoon in een paar minuten aflegt.

Waarom zet de NAVO deze en andere conventionele en nucleaire vliegtuigen met dubbele capaciteit dicht bij Rusland in? Zeker niet om de Baltische landen te verdedigen tegen een Russische aanval die het begin van de thermonucleaire wereldoorlog zou betekenen. Hetzelfde zou gebeuren als NAVO-vliegtuigen vanuit de Oostzee naburige Russische steden zouden aanvallen.

De werkelijke reden voor deze inzet is het verhogen van de spanning door het creëren van het beeld van een gevaarlijke vijand, Rusland dat zich voorbereidt op een aanval op Europa. Dit is de spanningsstrategie die door Washington ten uitvoer wordt gelegd, met de medeplichtigheid van de Europese regeringen en parlementen en de Europese Unie.

Deze strategie gaat gepaard met een toename van de militaire uitgaven ten koste van de sociale uitgaven. Een voorbeeld: de kosten van een vlieguur van een Eurofighter werd door dezelfde luchtmacht berekend in 66.000 euro (inclusief de vliegtuigafschrijving). Een bedrag dat groter is dan twee gemiddelde brutosalarissen per jaar in overheidsgeld.

Elke keer dat een Eurofighter opstijgt om het Baltische luchtruim te "verdedigen", verbrandt hij in één uur de corresponderende twee banen in Italië.

Este artículo es una mera curiosidad que trata del idioma y de la cultura, pero puede ser de interés para algunos lectores, y tal vez de ayuda ocasional para evaluar los comentarios hechos por otros. Mis análisis fueron motivados por mi observación de unas pocas personas que comentan aquí y que pretenden ser algo (o alguien) que no son, en particular una persona que se hace pasar por china. No es muy común, pero tal vez sea interesante. Veamos algunas diferencias culturales y veamos a dónde nos lleva esto.

Estaba más allá de los límites de su comprensión el darse cuenta de que lo que estaba viendo, que no era ni timidez ni falta de confianza, sino modestia, una de las características más encantadoras de los chinos y de los típicos asiáticos en general. Las mujeres americanas como clase no son modestas, no suelen ser ni tímidas ni faltas de "confianza", y tienden a tener una actitud más audaz "en tu cara" en comparación con las mujeres asiáticas.

In Europe civil air traffic is expected to drop by 60% this year compared to 2019, due to Covid-19 restrictions, putting more than 7 million jobs at risk. On the other hand, military air traffic is growing.

On Friday, August 28, six US Air Force B-52 strategic bombers flew over the thirty NATO countries in North America and Europe in a single day, flanked by eighty fighter-bombers from allied countries in different sections.

This large exercise called "Allied Sky" - said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg - demonstrates "the powerful commitment of the United States to the Allies and confirms that we are able to deter aggression." The allusion to "Russian aggression" in Europe is evident.

The B-52s  that were transferred on August 22 from North Dakota Minot Air Base to Fairford in Great Britain, are not old Cold War planes used only for parades. They have been continuously modernized, and retain their role as long-range strategic bombers. Now they are further enhanced.

The US Air Force will shortly equip seventy-six B-52s with new engines at a cost of $20 billion. These new engines will allow bombers to fly 8,000 km without refueling in flight, each carrying 35 tons of bombs and missiles armed with conventional or nuclear warheads. Last April, the US Air Force entrusted Raytheon Co. to produce a new long-range cruise missile, armed with a nuclear warhead for the B-52 bombers.

With these and other strategic nuclear attack bombers, including the B-2 Spirit, the US Air Force has made over 200 sorties over Europe since 2018, mainly over the Baltic and the Black Sea close to Russian airspace.

European NATO countries participate in these exercises, particularly Italy. When a B-52 flew over our country on August 28, Italian fighters joined in. simulating a joint attack mission.

Immediately after, Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon fighter-bombers took off to deploy to the Siauliai base in Lithuania, supported by about one hundred specialized soldiers. Beginning September 1, they will remain there for 8 months until April 2021, to "defend" the Baltic airspace. It is the fourth NATO "air policing" mission carried out in the Baltic area by Italian Air Force.

Italian fighters are ready 24 hours a day to scramble, to take off on alarm and intercept "unknown" aircrafts: they are always Russian airplanes flying between some internal airport and the Russian Kaliningrad exclave through international airspace over the Baltic.

The Lithuanian base of Siauliai, where they are deployed, has been upgraded by the United States; USA has tripled its capacity by investing 24 million euros in it. The reason is clear: the air base is just 220 km from Kaliningrad and 600 from St. Petersburg, a distance that a fighter like the Eurofighter Typhoon travels in a few minutes.

Why is NATO deploying these and other conventional and nuclear dual-capacity aircrafts close to Russia? Certainly not to defend the Baltic countries from a Russian attack which would mean the beginning of the thermonuclear world war if it happened. The same would happen if NATO planes attacked neighboring Russian cities from the Baltic.

The real reason for this deployment is to increase tension by creating the image of a dangerous enemy, Russia preparing to attack Europe. This is the strategy of tension implemented by Washington, with the complicity of European governments and Parliaments and the European Union.

This strategy involves a growing military spending increase at the expense of social spending. An example: the cost of a flight hour of a Eurofighter was calculated by the same Air Force in 66,000 euros (including the aircraft amortisation). An amount larger than two average gross salaries per year in public money.

Every time a Eurofighter takes off to "defend" the Baltic airspace, it burns in one hour the corresponding of two jobs in Italy.
